Senior Structural Revit Drafter

A respected structural engineering firm in San Diego is seeking a Senior Structural Revit Drafter with 5+ years of experience producing high-quality drawings for commercial, residential, and multifamily building projects. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of drafting efforts, support a busy engineering team, and contribute to complex, impactful projects throughout Southern California.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed structural drawings, models, and documentation using Revit.
- Produce plans, sections, elevations, and structural details for commercial, residential, and multifamily buildings.
- Maintain drawing accuracy and consistency through all project phases.
- Coordinate closely with structural engineers, architects, and other design team members.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining Revit standards, templates, and workflows.
- Organize drawing sets and manage project files while upholding quality control standards.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- 5+ years of structural drafting experience.
- Strong proficiency in Revit (required).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience drafting for commercial, residential, and multifamily building projects.
- Solid understanding of structural plans, detailing, and building systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Experience coordinating BIM models with multi-disciplinary design teams.
- Knowledge of wood, steel, concrete, and masonry structural systems.
- Familiarity with Southern California building codes and practices.
