Summary
Description:
ATA is seeking a Teamcenter Architect with interest in business development and software. An engineering background with a sociable and outgoing interpersonal skillset is critical to the success of the candidate. The ideal candidate will also have engineering experience with CAD and CAE software tools such as Simcenter/NX, Femap, and Nastran. A dynamic, entrepreneurial individual technically proficient in engineering with an interest or experience in presales and postsales support is imperative.
The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development of and executing an annual sales and marketing plan consistent with company strategy, goals, and objectives.
- Assume a lead role in developing in-house PLM software deployment and support capacity, while working well with existing PLM partners to support new and existing clients.
- Assume a supporting role in identifying, developing, shaping, and closing PLM software opportunities to achieve ATA’s business revenue and profit goals while maintaining ATA’s standards of excellent customer service.
- Provide technical expertise and support for Teamcenter PLM products both to external customers and internally to other ATA staff.
- Perform presales customer support activities, including on-site and online seminars and live software demonstrations to display the technical capabilities of PLM software.
- Perform postsales customer support via ATA’s software support hotline, including best practices, troubleshooting and corrective actions for PLM software, hardware, and network performance issues.
- Provide advanced technical support above and beyond the software hotline level.
- Interface with clients to analyze their current engineering and business processes, identify areas for workflow improvement, and integrate comprehensive PLM solutions.
- Produce estimates of efforts required to meet customer business requirements and generate scope of work (SOW) documents.
- Manage PLM implementations, configuring and customizing PLM software to meet customer requirements.
- Develop user training materials and lead informal and formal training sessions to facilitate PLM tools adoption, including best practices.
- Enhance future PLM software versions by communicating customer feedback, enhancement requests, and product deficiencies to Siemens’ product development teams
- Continuously enhance knowledge of Siemens and competitor engineering software solutions.
- Develop and implement pipeline processes for PLM lead generation, qualification, and closure.
- Organize and develop software-related marketing materials for customer and internal use.
- Provide account management support for new and existing customers:
- Identify and build relationships with customers at multiple organizational levels.
- Expand knowledge of ATA throughout the client organization.
- Coordinate with ATA’s account managers to proactively identify other needs that ATA can address to develop new, nonsoftware business opportunities.
- Expand ATA presence to other client divisions, suppliers, and partners.
- Contribute to the development of future marketing strategies for ATA’s value-added reseller business, products, and services:
- Expand awareness of ATA’s mission, values, and services in the marketplace.
- Participate in industry functions and trade shows in support of the business development team’s goals.
- Participate in ATA sales team meetings and planning sessions and coordinate selling activities with the team.
- Learn ATA’s products and services, management, staff, and company culture to provide customer service that meets ATA’s high standards of excellence:
- Become familiar with recent and current projects in relevant ATA technical disciplines.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the technical requirements for business opportunities.
- B.S. degree in Engineering Computer Science or a PLM-relevant field from an accredited college/university with an excellent academic record.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience; 10 years preferred.
- Strong technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
