Job Schedule: 9/80 (Every other Friday off!)
Lead development teams in defining requirements and conceptualizing communications system architectures. Guide the team through the preparation and presentation of system requirements reviews, ensuring that all aspects are thoroughly covered.
Responsibilities include coordinating with design teams to ensure the architecture and system design meet the intended requirements, fostering efficient collaboration and alignment. Prepare and present technical data at both internal and customer reviews, clearly communicating technical details and project progress. Leverage L3
Harris's expertise and capabilities, exploring ways to apply our advanced solutions to new challenges. This position may require travel up to 10% of the time, enabling engagement directly with stakeholders and support various project needs on-site.
- RF System Design for COMSEC and Information Assurance:
Develop and oversee the design and architecture of complex systems, ensuring they meet all technical requirements and specifications. - Project Leadership:
Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams through the entire systems engineering lifecycle, from concept development to system deployment and maintenance. - Requirements Management:
Analyze, interpret, and document system requirements. Ensure all requirements are met throughout the design and implementation process. - Integration and Verification:
Oversee the integration of various system components and ensure they work together seamlessly. Plan and conduct system verification and validation activities to ensure the system meets all required performance and reliability standards. - Risk Management:
Identify potential risks throughout the system's lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to address these risks effectively. - Process Development and Improvement:
Develop, implement, and continuously improve systems engineering processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality. - Customer and Stakeholder Interaction:
Engage with customers and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure their requirements are incorporated into the system design. Communicate project status and technical information effectively. - Innovation and Problem Solving:
Lead efforts to innovate and improve existing systems. Resolve complex technical issues that arise during the design, development, or deployment phases. - Performance Analysis:
Conduct performance analysis and modeling to predict and verify system behavior under various conditions. - Collaboration and Coordination:
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, including hardware, software, and mechanical engineers, to ensure integrated system solutions.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- 9 years of experience in RF Design and Architecture with a focus on Cryptography/Information Assurance.
- 5 years of experience with system-level design, integration, testing and certification of cryptographic devices.
- 5 years of experience in cryptographic algorithms and protocols.
