We are currently seeking a Structural Drafter to join our growing team. This role is key in translating structural engineering concepts into precise, detailed drawings that guide construction. The ideal candidate is skilled in computer‑aided design (CAD) and/or BIM software, detail‑oriented, and experienced in structural drafting across a variety of building types.
Duties & Responsibilities- Drawing & Drafting
- Prepare detailed structural drawings and plans using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software, under the supervision of structural engineers.
- Draft construction documents including foundations, framing, floor plans, sections, and details.
- Update and revise drawings based on markups and design changes from engineers and project managers.
- 3D Modeling & Coordination
- Assist with 3D modeling of structural systems for coordination and visualization.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other drafters to support multidisciplinary coordination.
- Quality & Documentation
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, compliance with company standards, and adherence to applicable codes.
- Maintain organized documentation and version control of project drawings.
- Education
- Associate’s degree or technical diploma in drafting, design technology, or a related field.
- Experience
- 2+ years of experience in structural drafting, preferably in an architectural or engineering firm.
- Exposure to projects in commercial, healthcare, residential, or institutional sectors.
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; experience with BIM workflows is a plus.
- Familiarity with structural systems including steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings and specifications.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Navisworks, or other coordination tools.
- Knowledge of local building codes and construction standards.
