We are seeking dynamic leaders with a proven track record in project management and MEP system design, ready to drive innovation in our diverse range of projects.
We are currently accepting applications for an Associate Mechanical Engineer in San Diego with an HVAC focus.
- Leverage your passion for and knowledge of HVAC systems to:
- Conduct assessments and inspections of HVAC systems
- Compare construction documents with physical installation
- Provide written reports regarding level of compliance
- Interact with site personnel and clients
- Travel to project site(s) is required daily in San Diego area
- Ideal candidates will possess a BSME, BSEE or BSAE with mechanical or electrical specialty, EIT; 4 years experience in the engineering design and/or evaluation of building mechanical and HVAC. PE licensure a plus
- Demonstrated communication skills, problem solving skills, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems is required, along with a fundamental knowledge of electrical and fire protection systems
- Candidates will possess a working knowledge of national and state building codes for HVAC systems
- The ability to communicate in a professional manner, remain organized, and multitask are essential
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and/or Plan Grid
- Operate a computer (keyboarding) and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copier/scanner/printer
- Use visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens
- Move through construction and existing building sites over rough terrain
- See and respond to dangerous situations
- Respond quickly to sounds
- Ascend and descend ladders and stairs
- Move safely through confined spaces and narrow paths
- Work in outdoor weather conditions or unconditioned areas
- Travel to sites, local and regional
