We are seeking a Senior RF/Wireless Engineer to support wireless certification, regulatory compliance, and testing for connected products, ensuring successful certification outcomes through collaboration with various teams.
Responsibilities:- Perform wireless certification, regulatory compliance, and carrier acceptance testing according to PTCRB, GCF, FCC, ISED, 3
GPP, ETSI, and carrier requirements. - Conduct cellular RF conformance and performance testing across GSM, WCDMA, LTE, LTE-Advanced, 5G , and emerging wireless technologies.
- Perform Radiated Spurious Emissions (RSE), transmitter, receiver, and other RF performance measurements.
- Develop and review test plans, procedures, configurations, technical reports, and certification documentation.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot RF and certification failures, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Configure and operate cellular communication testers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, RF power meters, and related laboratory equipment.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians and support laboratory quality, process improvement, and new test capability development.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a closely related field with at least 5 years of relevant hands-on experience, or a master's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with PTCRB certification, cellular RF testing, FCC and ISED requirements, and Radiated Spurious Emissions (RSE).
- Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, wireless technologies, transmitter and receiver performance, and measurement techniques.
- Experience with test platforms such as Keysight UXM/E7515, Rohde & Schwarz CMW
500/CMX
500, Anritsu MT8000A/ME7873, or equivalent systems. - Strong troubleshooting, data analysis, technical writing, and customer communication skills.
- Experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory and with automation tools such as Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW is preferred.
- Technical expertise in wireless certification and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient in RF performance testing and analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing platforms.
