Target CompensationTarget Range: $17.00/Hr.
- $22.00/Hr. (Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.)
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%.
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%.
About This JobAxos is looking for a closing specialist within the mortgage loan closing department, responsible for a variety of administrative tasks in a demanding, fast‑paced environment. This position requires flexibility to adjust priorities as business needs evolve. This is a cross‑functional role with opportunities to work in all aspects of the closing process as the workload dictates, including but not limited to generating initial and final closing disclosures, drawing loan documents, reviewing documents, funding loans, and other various functions.
Responsibilities- Obtain and document verbal verification of employment for loan files.
- Communicate with Closing Agents to ascertain closing package status and scan/upload signed packages for funding review.
- Perform required regulatory validations, including MERS, FEMA, Flood, HMDA, TRID, and RESPA checks.
- Complete loan boarding process, executing data entry and critical data validations.
- Log notes and facilitate the delivery to the Loan Servicing department.
- Provide general departmental support, including mail distribution and cross‑training on core closing/funding functions.
- Other duties as assigned to meet business and company needs.
- Current mortgage lending experience and/or knowledge a plus.
- Understand mortgage closing workflow a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Advanced computer skills including all MS Office systemsli>
- Attention to detail is a must, along with a keen eye for identifying problems.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong math skills and computer literacy.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Superb oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to perform multiple functions throughout the day as the need arises.
