Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review general ledger accounts to ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with company standards.
- Analyze financial data to perform reconciliations and create journal entries with precision.
- Manage accounting processes for promotional trade credits, including ensuring accuracy, scalability, and proper presentation in financial statements.
- Conduct financial analyses to identify and explain fluctuations in key accounts such as operating expenses, reserves, and freight costs.
- Assist with the annual audit process and ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
- Collaborate on special projects and perform ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.
- Implement and support automated systems to streamline accounting processes and improve controls.
- Monitor and evaluate financial reporting systems, suggesting enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate period-end book closures to meet company deadlines. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in finance and accounting; public accounting experience is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Net Suite and associated platforms is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a commitment to process improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to shared goals.
