Overview
Summit is seeking an Acquisitions Support III to support one of our Department of Defense partners for a full-time position in San Diego, CA. As an Acquisitions Support III, you will provide advanced acquisition and program management support, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and contract requirements. This senior-level position requires demonstrated experience in acquisition execution, policy analysis, and leadership of acquisition documentation efforts.
You will lead the development and review of acquisition documentation (Acquisition Strategies, Program Baselines, Decision Memoranda); provide recommendations on acquisition statutes, policies, and regulations (DoD, Navy, NAVWAR, etc.); mentor junior staff and review deliverables for compliance and quality; facilitate data transparency efforts by developing metrics and visualizations for program health; interface with leadership and stakeholders to align execution with contract objectives;
and support Navy/DoD acquisition processes across ACAT I–III programs.
This is a full-time, on-site role requiring U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance.

- Mentor junior staff and review deliverables for compliance and quality.
- Facilitate data transparency efforts, developing metrics and visualizations for program health.
- Interface with leadership and stakeholders to align execution with contract objectives.
- Support Navy/DoD acquisition processes across ACAT I–III programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5–8+ years of relevant acquisition/program support experience.
- U.S. Citizenship and possess a TS/SCI clearance.
- Strong analytical, writing, and leadership skills.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to work on Government contracts. All information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
