Duties
* You will conduct required training for every newly-reported attorney and paralegal and to the entire Region quarterly on: crime victims rights and available resources, VWAP governing laws and instructions, VWAP procedures, etc.
* You will coordinate, receive, and report to Commander, Naval Installations Command the total number of DD Form 2701, 2702s, and 2703s issued by OSTCs on an annual and as needed basis.
* You will respond to VWAP reporting requirements from higher authority and in accordance with policy, instruction, and regulation, and advise each OSTC Chief STC about policy and operations of the office Victim/Witness Assistance Program.
* You will support, assist, and prepare STCs and OSTC paralegals in conducting VWAP and substantive interviews
* You will assist with the scheduling of victims' and witnesses' appearance for court proceedings and assists in notification of victims and witnesses in the event of the rescheduling of court appearances. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
* Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as:
1) Understand, provide training on, and supervise the implementation of all aspects of Victim-Witness Assistance Program Policies or equivalent civilian sector Victim-Witness policies or legislation;
2) Serve as sole point of contact for the Regional Special Trial Counsel for tracking regional compliance with Victim-Witness Assistance Program requirements or equivalent civilian sector Victim-Witness policies or legislation;
3) directly interact with crime victims to explain the court-martial process, case timelines, and their rights under Victim-Witness Assistance Program policies or equivalent civilian sector Victim-Witness policies or legislation.
