Summary:

Crisis Intervention Specialist will respond to crisis calls that are assigned by the Supervisor of CRT to perform wellness checks, address behavioral needs, facilitate access to immediate care, and link a client experiencing crisis to the appropriate resources.

• Performs wellness checks by working closely with Property Management and/or Security while accessing a client’s unit.
• Refers clients to appropriate internal and external resources.
• Serves as a resource to clients by being visible in the milieu.
• Builds relationship with clients in order to strengthen the community and to create trust between clients and staff. Communicates concerns to program leadership.
• Upholds the CREED:
  Compassion, Respect, Empathy, Empowerment, Dignity while assisting clients who are experiencing crisis.
• Participates in the Multidisciplinary Approach to Services (MAS) meetings.
• On‑time completion of assigned training and policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School graduate or GED completion.
• At least one year of experience with underserved populations in social service setting.
• Knowledge of assessment, risk assessment, crisis management, and conflict resolution.
• Participate in an annual Tuberculosis screening and/or other screenings when necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be granted where appropriate.
• Must be able to meet requirements to drive an agency vehicle.
• Must be bi‑lingual:
  English and Spanish.
• Experience as a Peer Specialist or Security Officer job is a plus.
