Licensed Vocational Nurse

Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) provide skilled nursing care to patients and clients at public health clinics, behavioral health clinics (locked, inpatient, and day treatment) or long‑term skilled nursing facilities.

Future Salary Increase

It is a locked facility and a component of the San Diego County Behavioral Health Services' continuum of care. The mission of the Hospital is to provide psychiatric evaluation and crisis intervention‑oriented acute treatment for adult residents of San Diego County.

Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a current license to practice vocational nursing in the State of California at time of appointment.

  • A current certification in accordance with the American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program is required at the time of appointment.
  • A valid National Provider Identification Number (NPI) is required at time of employment.
  • Certification or completion of courses in Blood Withdrawal and/or IV Therapy is highly desirable.
