• Under general supervision of a supervising neurophysiologist and lab manager, monitor the nervous system during complex and specialized surgical procedures to reduce or avoid complications.
• Perform recording and monitoring in procedures including brain and brainstem surgeries (tumors, language and motor brain mapping); orthopedic spine surgeries (scoliosis); and vascular surgeries (aneurysms).
• Aid in patient preparation, conduct IONM, and follow up to ensure quality of care.
• Provide support to inpatient EEG service for EEG and evoked potentials; train entry-level technologists; serve as lead; assist in program operations and scheduling; perform other duties as assigned.

• ABRET CNIM qualified, or to be qualified within two years of hire; CNIM required for Sr. IONM Technologist.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six months.
• Two years of experience in surgical neurophysiology at CNIM level; four to six years for Sr. IONM Technologist in a tertiary hospital setting.
• Competency in EEG, live EMG, triggered EMG, SSEP, tcMEP, T04, and AEP for all patients.
• Experience programming related equipment (Cadwell).
• Ability to perform multimodal monitoring in complex spine, brain/brainstem, and vascular surgeries.
• Educational requirements for IONM Technologist: CAAHEP Diploma OR current R.EEG T or R.EP T OR Bachelor's Degree (higher degree acceptable) OR ABRET certificate completion.

• BA/BS; MS, PhD level education or other allied health degree/certification.
• Credentials: DABNM, REEG, REPT; advanced brain mapping capabilities and related neurophysiology skills.

• Must be able to work various hours, locations, and on-call evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Employment subject to criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
• Salary range may vary by experience; pay scale: IONM Technologist $59.45-$73.95/hour;
  Sr. IONM Technologist $64.96-$80.75/hour.

Annual Full Pay Range: $124,132 - $154,408 (prorated if appointment percentage < 100%). Hourly equivalent: $59.45 - $73.95.
