About the RoleThe successful candidate will design, execute, and analyze rodent electroencephalography (EEG) and behavioral studies to support drug discovery and translational programs in neuropsychiatry. Key responsibilities include data collection, analysis, and independent project management to meet critical timelines.
Responsibilities- Support a range of in vivo and translational research activities
- Implement and collect data from pharmaco‑EEG experiments
- Handle small animals, perform dosing, formulation, and tissue collection
- Conduct rodent survival stereotaxic surgery and behavioral experiments
- Collaborate across research domains within the company
- Operate independently on a schedule to meet required timelines
- Perform histology, slide imaging, and immunoassays
- Analyze histological, time‑series, video, or behavioral data as required
- Execute other duties as assigned
- BS/BA in biological sciences, behavioral neuroscience, pharmacology, or biopsychology with 2+ years of animal handling and dosing experience
- MS/MA in a related field with experience in animal handling and dosing
- PhD preferred
- Experience with small animal handling and pharmacological dosing
- Skills in tissue collection/dissection
- Expertise in in vivo electrophysiology (EEG, EMG, LFP, spikes), stereotaxic surgery, functional ultrasound imaging, rodent behavioral assays (psychiatry/neurology), and immunoassays (Luminex, MSD)
- Programming experience in Matlab, C/C++, or Python
- Strong communication skills for data plotting and presentation
- Assay development and troubleshooting capabilities
Salary range: $88,000.00 – $ (pay structure varies by location, experience, and role complexity).
