** Position Overview
** We are seeking a strategic and results-driven
** Director of Business Development
** to lead our hospice growth initiatives. This role is responsible for expanding referral networks, driving admissions, and positioning Seaport Hospice as the provider of choice in the San Diego.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Develop and execute strategic business development plans to increase hospice referrals and admissions.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, case managers, and other referral sources.
* Lead and mentor a team of community liaisons and sales professionals.
* Conduct market assessments and identify growth opportunities.
* Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to ensure seamless referral and admission processes.
* Negotiate service agreements with payers, managed care organizations, and healthcare partners.
* Represent Seaport Hospice at community events, professional forums, and outreach initiatives.
* Monitor performance metrics and report outcomes to executive leadership.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and payer requirements.
** Qualifications
* ** Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in healthcare business development, preferably in hospice or home health.
* Proven leadership experience with a track record of driving growth and managing teams.
* Strong understanding of hospice care models, Medicare eligibility, and referral processes.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Proficiency in CRM systems and performance reporting tools.
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Pay Range:
Starting at $120k annually
