Human Resources Manager / Senior HR Business Partner

Under general supervision, as a key HR team member, coordinate and administer HR programs and services as noted below for US employees in the areas of wellness, employee services, and service award programs. This position is one of two key HR department essential employees for US corporate and multi-state locations. Position is the first point of contact and a conduit and resource for employees and managers to provide information, direction and referral to other HR team members.
Provides administrative and project support as needed for the HR Department staff. Performs a variety of HR and administrative tasks to support HR operations. This position is essential and works on site in our Poway location five days a week, Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30 ot 5:00pm .
HR Visitors and Reception (10% of Time) -- this role is phasing out in January of 2026 after we move to our new offices in Rancho Bernardo
- As face of company, greets customers and visitors, and ensures visitors sign into visitor log and issue visitor badges. Notify person(s) meeting with guest to arrange for escort.
- Assist as needed with vendor deliveries (e.g. Micro Precision, Corodata, USPS), food and coffee services, building vendors and building services, and contact appropriate employee for receipt of packages.
- Serve as vendor interface on coffee machine, vending machines and on-site market/kiosk (First Class Vending). Maintain open line of communication with facilities on coffee supplies and machine maintenance. Reach out to vendor with any concerns.
HR Administration (25% of Time)
- Serve as first point-of-contact on the Human Resources team. Greet, screen and direct internal and external customers to appropriate HR staff member. Answer a broad spectrum of HR questions, via e-mail, phone or in-person, and provide forms, information, or point to appropriate resources.

- Create new hire personnel files and compile terminated employee personnel files
- * File employee documents in personnel and confidential files and assist with year-end archiving.
- * Create Fed Ex label to ship overnight packages.
- * Prepare purchase orders (one-time or blanket) and process invoices for goods and services for HR department.
- Coordinate Costco supply orders for HR department as needed.
- Maintain and update the company telephone list of extensions and cell phone numbers, per the process.
- Maintain company store of Cohu logo items, replenish as needed, and create new logo items and maintain kitchen supplies.
- Review updates and order/post labor law and other legal posters/notices on an annual basis
- Support annual ISO update of documents for HR Poway and support annual EEO and AA filings as requested.

- Update employee bulletin boards on a regular basis – post for the HR department.
- Send out company-wide emails for events, updates, Arrange meetings within Outlook.
Employee Services (35% of Time)
- Own the employee badging system. Troubleshoot badge access issues, maintain security access database, and deactivate employee access as needed. Audit on-site providers (Coverall & G4S) to ensure inactive employee badges are terminated.
