What you be doing?The selected System Administrator will support, maintain, and enhance Hyundai Autoever America’s core infrastructure, including servers, virtualization platforms, storage, identity services, cloud platforms, and endpoint systems. This role ensures the stability, availability, and security of enterprise systems through proactive administration, monitoring, documentation, and adherence to operational standards.
You will work closely with senior engineers and the cybersecurity team to support daily operations, resolve Tier‑2 issues, and assist with modernization and cloud‑driven initiatives across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Additional roles and responsibilities include:
- Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux systems; including strong command of Linux and Windows operating systems with deep troubleshooting capability such as performing patching, updates, and configuration.
- Support VMware ESXi, vCenter, and virtual server operations; provisioning, snapshots, and performance tuning.
- Maintain Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity‑related configurations.
- Support cloud environments including Azure, AWS, and GCP for VM hosting, storage, networking, and identity integrations.
- Perform hardware installation, racking, cabling, and lifecycle maintenance for servers and storage platforms.
- Support firewall, VPN, and network appliance operations (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto) under senior engineer direction.
- Ensure systems comply with security baselines and support patch management and vulnerability remediation.
- Assist with endpoint protection, email security (DMARC / SPF / DKIM), and system hardening activities.
- Monitor systems using Solar Winds, Dynatrace, Grafana, and cloud‑native tools (Azure Monitor, AWS Cloud Watch, GCP Cloud Logging).
- Document system configurations, SOPs, diagrams, and asset updates in Service Now and Confluence.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and scheduled after‑hours maintenance windows.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
- 3–5 years of system administration experience in a medium‑to‑enterprise environment.
- Strong command of both Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server operating systems.
- Hands‑on experience with VMware, Active Directory, enterprise storage, and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Familiarity with security frameworks, patch compliance, and system hardening best practices.
- Microsoft Certified:
Windows Server / Azure Administrator - AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Sys Ops Administrator
- Google Associate Cloud Engineer
- VMware VCTA / VCP
- CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Linux+
- Veeam Certified Technician (VMCT)
