About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in Fin Tech, is looking for a skilled Lead Enterprise Architect to join their team for an engagement focused on owning key architectural responsibilities across governance, modernization, and enterprise-level strategy. This project involves identifying a hands‑on architecture leader with banking or fintech experience, strong executive presence, and the ability to both strategize and execute. This is a high‑impact role that requires a self‑motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

This position has the ability to grow into the Chief Architect role within 12–24 months.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

• Design software architecture specifications that support the functional and non-functional requirements of software solutions, such as usability, reliability, availability, modularity, interoperability, maintainability, testability, and security.

• Apply modern architecture principles and patterns, such as microservices, cloud-native, serverless, event-driven, reactive, domain-driven design, API-first, and Dev Ops.

• Leverage the latest technologies and tools, such as AI, machine learning, big data, Crypto, IoT, blockchain, and cloud services, to enhance software solutions and create competitive advantages.

• Improve and enforce software engineering standards, guidelines, methodologies, processes, and best practices.

• Guide and mentor matrixed software engineering teams, including architects, developers, testers, and Dev Ops engineers, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

• Collaborate extensively with product management, business units, and technology teams to understand customer needs, market trends, and business opportunities, and translate them into software solutions with competitive advantages.

• Research and evaluate new technologies, frameworks, libraries, and tools, and provide recommendations and guidance on their adoption and integration.

• Monitor and analyze software performance, quality, security, and scalability, and identify and resolve any issues or risks.

• Document and present the software architecture, design, and implementation to internal and external stakeholders, such as executives, customers, partners, and vendors.

Required

Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and at least 5 years in enterprise or solution architecture.

• Deep expertise in architecture principles including microservices, event-driven, cloud-native, domain-driven design, API-first, and Dev Ops. This isn’t a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.

• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.

• Experience with or awareness of emerging technologies such as AI/ML, blockchain, data platforms, and cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
