Description SAIC is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join an Agile / Dev Sec Ops software team in San Diego, CA. There will be some remote opportunities for candidates local to the San Diego area only. You must be a hard-working, sharp individual with a passion for cloud computing and software development, a positive attitude, and an intense desire to deliver value through rapid provisioning of Amazon Web Services to software teams, and using leading edge software factory tool stacks. The ideal candidate will have expertise and extensive experience in provisioning AWS services for software teams via Infrastructure as Code, working w/Kubernetes, containers, and service mesh networks.
You'll be part of an Agile software development team that practices Dev Sec Ops .
Job Responsibilities:
As a Cloud Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
* Design, deploy, and operate various AWS cloud resources .
* Design, deploy, and operate cloud-native web applications.
* Design connectivity solutions between cloud services provider and on-premise networks .
* Apply analytical, automation, and coding skills in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) .
* Prepare design documentation, e.g. diagrams and specifications .
* Assist multiple application teams creating full or partial cloud representations of lab hosted systems .
* Collaborate with teams designing their cloud architecture to produce best practices and templates related to AWS hosting and automation .
* A dd new applications (COTS, custom, etc) to cloud environments and integrate them with existing hosted tools . Qualifications Required
Education and Experience:
* Must be a US Citizen .
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering .
* Five (5) or more years in AWS experience .
* A WS Sys Ops Administrator Certification .
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, or similar .
* Demonstrated proficiency coding and creating automation in Python, PHP or similar .
* Proven background working in Dev Sec Ops software development environments with specific experience and knowledge in three (3) or more of the following areas:
* Kubernetes .
* Containers .
* Docker .
* Zero Trust Models .
* CDS / C-ATO .
* Service Mesh Architectures .
* Must be able to work as part of team . S ecurity Clearance:
* Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance . E ducation and
Experience:
* Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree. Active TS/SCI. Desired Skills and
Certifications:
* SAFe Agilist.
* Able to attain CSWF and IAT Level II Certifications (Security+).
* Demonstrated technical writing and briefing.
* Understanding of hybrid cloud/local architectures.
* Experience in modern source control (Git, Bit Bucket, etc.).
* Understanding of PEO C4I, NAVWAR, US Navy C4I systems. Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
