We are seeking a System Administrator to be responsible for providing technical support and full lifecycle management for deployed Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) point products. This role ensures secure, reliable, and compliant operation of Trellix ENS products installed on LMMT systems in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity policies and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements. The System Administrator ensures Trellix ENS Firewall configurations comply with the approved Authority to Operate (ATO) and adhere to Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) requirements.
This position supports system accreditation, operational readiness, and continuous compliance across all deployed environments.
- Provide assistance as a Server Administrator installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems (Windows/Linux) and hardware such as servers, desktops, and storage devices.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control using tools like Active Directory.
- Implement security measures, apply patches, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Write or modify scripts (e.g., Power Shell, Bash) to automate routine tasks and improve system administration processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Manage backup solutions and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Work closely with network engineers, developers, and other IT staff on system upgrades and integration projects.
- Provide advanced resolution of escalated and complex technical issues affecting Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) components within the Link Management and Monitoring Tool (LMMT) environment.
- Develop and implement corrective actions and long‑term mitigation strategies, including configuration changes, policy adjustments, and procedural improvements, while ensuring compliance with RMF controls, Authority to Operate (ATO) conditions, and Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) requirements.
Minimum of two (2) years and basic knowledge of:
- Managing Windows Server or Linux environments
- Networking concepts and virtualization technologies
- System monitoring tools
- Cloud platforms and hybrid environments
- DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS)
- Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO)
- Firewall rule configuration, application, and security policies
- Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) requirements
- BS STEM Degree Preferred
- OS Certification Preferred
- CompTIA Security+ Preferred
- DoD 8140 Compliance Required
General office environment;
Computer/Equipment lab.
- May be expected to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent use of keyboard and typing.
- Frequent sitting and standing.
- Travel up to 30% of the Time to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
9/80. The ability to work non‑standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements.
PAY RANGE$ to $ annually, DOE.

SECURITY CLEARANCECandidates must have an active clearance or the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance and will be subject to a U.S. security background investigation (i.e., favorable background investigation/credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
