Role DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Wireless Network Engineer in the San Diego, CA area with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience to join our team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining wireless network solutions within a healthcare/hospital environment. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the Juniper Mist wireless platform, possess strong technical skills, and demonstrate exceptional customer service when interacting with physicians, clinicians, and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and manage wireless network infrastructure using Juniper Mist technology.
- Monitor and optimize wireless performance to ensure reliability and security across hospital systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve wireless connectivity issues promptly, providing hands‑on support to clinical and administrative teams.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate wireless solutions with existing network architecture.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare security standards (HIPAA, etc.).
- Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps for internal knowledge base.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on wireless best practices.
- 7+ years of experience in wireless networking engineering.
- Expert‑level proficiency with Juniper Mist wireless platform.
- Strong understanding of wireless protocols (802.11 standards), wireless security standards (WPA2, WPA3, 802.1x), RF design, and network security principles.
- Experience leveraging Cisco ISE for authentication.
- Certifications such as CWNP, Juniper Mist certifications, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Healthcare IT compliance and security standards.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
