The Marlin Alliance, Inc. is seeking a Palantir Foundry Application Developer to design and build user-facing applications and analytical tools within the Palantir Foundry platform for our Navy customer. This individual will translate mission requirements into intuitive, data-driven applications that empower end users to make informed decisions quickly and effectively.

We are looking for a developer who is passionate about creating exceptional user experiences, thrives on solving complex problems, and wants to make a direct impact on naval operations.
Duties & Responsibilities- Develop and maintain user-facing applications, dashboards, and workflows within Palantir Foundry.
- Build interactive visualizations and analytics tools that transform complex data into actionable insights for mission users.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects and data engineers to understand ontologies and data pipelines, then surface that data effectively in applications.
- Work directly with Navy stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct user research, and iterate on application designs based on feedback.
- Implement frontend components using Foundry's Workshop, Slate, or other application-building tools.
- Perform data analysis to support application development, including exploratory analysis, metric definition, and validation.
- Write and optimize queries (SQL, Python, or Foundry-specific languages) to retrieve and transform data for application use.
- Ensure applications meet usability, performance, and security standards.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
- Document application functionality, user guides, and technical specifications.
- Support testing, deployment, and troubleshooting of Foundry applications in production environments.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information systems, engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 2-5 years of experience in software development, application development, data analytics, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, including application development using Workshop, Slate, or similar tools.
- Experience building user-facing applications, dashboards, or data visualizations.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases or data platforms.
- Experience with data analysis, including data exploration, statistical analysis, or business intelligence.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate user needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Palantir Foundry certification (Developer, Analyst, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with the Advana/Jupiter platform including a working understanding of Databricks.
- Background in data science, statistics, or quantitative analysis.
- Experience with Python data libraries (pandas, Num Py, matplotlib, plotly).
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices and tools (Tableau, Power BI, D3.js).
- Experience supporting DoD or Navy programs.
- Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and user-centered design methodologies.
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of API development and integration.
- Experience with Foundry ontology modeling and pipeline development.
- IAT-II/Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) Certification.
