In this role, you aren't just "managing servers" or "writing code"—you are building the digital backbone that empowers San Diego State University's R1 research mission. You will balance the essential daily work of keeping our enterprise systems running smoothly with exciting modernization initiatives that strengthen our infrastructure for the future.

You'll be one of the collaborative experts we turn to ensure our financial management, human resources, and research administration systems are secure, user-focused, and ready to scale.

• Build and innovate:
  You will design, code, and document custom applications, reports, and workflows using tools like Oracle PL/SQL and APEX to meet our team's needs.
• Keep the engines running:
  You'll help to configure and manage the servers (like Tomcat) and Linux environments that keep our critical systems running smoothly every day.
• Secure our digital doors:
  You will set up and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) using Active Directory (AD/Entra) Azure Active Directory and understanding of SSL/TLS certificate request and installation, ensuring our team can safely and easily access the tools they need.
