Data Scientist
The University of California San Diego, Department of Ophthalmology (https://oph.ucsd.edu/), is committed to academic excellence within its faculty, staff, and student body seeks to recruit project scientist(s) wishing to join an established team of vision scientists using artificial intelligence to detect ophthalmologic diseases and interested in pursuing grant funding. The position provides opportunities to use extensive databases of clinical and demographic data and retinal imaging for artificial intelligence applications in ophthalmology.
Responsibilities- Perform studies using extensive databases of clinical and demographic data and retinal imaging for artificial intelligence applications in ophthalmology.
- Provide onsite teaching and mentoring of students and staff.
- Draft manuscripts, prepare presentations, present at conferences and participate in grant writing.
Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientist level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.
