This position is focused on first‑party coverage work, including examinations under oath, insurance fraud investigation, and uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage arbitrations. The associate will also assist with third‑party defense matters, such as premises liability cases, as needed. It is an ideal opportunity for an attorney with solid coverage experience who wants more responsibility, strong mentorship, and a steady pipeline of meaningful work.

• Handle first‑party coverage matters, including insurance fraud investigations, declaratory relief actions, and uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage arbitrations.
• Conduct examinations under oath and depositions – must have real experience here.
• Draft coverage opinions.
• Manage a caseload of first‑party and select third‑party files.
• Collaborate closely with claims professionals and internal litigation teams.
• Assist with premises liability and general defense matters when needed.

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 4–6 years of experience in insurance coverage or insurance defense.
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in California.
• Must have taken depositions and/or examinations under oath.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage files independently while remaining team‑oriented.
