Sourcing Specialist Business Process Lead

Overview

A gas turbine company is looking for a Sourcing Specialist Business Process Lead to join their team. This person will play a strategic role within the Supply Chain and Logistics function. They will be creating and implementing processes and training for the entire supply chain organization.

Base pay

$/yr - $/yr

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Supply Chain Support:
    Facilitates integration between procurement and facility support teams to ensure supply chain excellence.
  • Process Improvement:
    Identifies, defines, and implements supply chain solutions to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    Builds internal and external partnerships to explore sourcing opportunities and best practices.
  • Risk Assessment & Business Proposals:
    Evaluates the soundness of sourcing strategies and assesses associated risks.
  • Benchmarking & Metrics:
    Investigates industry standards to develop optimal supply chains and improve supplier performance.
  • Data Analysis:
    Uses data to prioritize cost-effective supply chain improvements, inventory utilization, and business partnerships.
  • Planning (Tactical & Strategic):
    Contributes to short-term and long-term planning aligned with business goals.
  • Decision Making & Critical Thinking:
    Applies analytical skills to make informed sourcing decisions.
  • Project Management:
    Manages initiatives that enhance procurement processes and supplier relationships.
  • Negotiation & Leadership:
    Leads negotiations with suppliers and drives change across teams.
Required skills and experience
  • 7-10 years of sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience creating and implementing processes, training within the supply chain
  • 5+ years of experience acting as a project manager within the supply chain
  • Familiar with strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and risk assessment.
Nice to have skills and experience
  • Master's Degree
  • APICS/ASCM certified
  • PMP
