ASSIGNMENT DETAILSTES is hiring one (1) temporary Storekeeper.
Duration: This role is anticipated to last roughly 5 - 6 months.
Compensation and Benefits: $25.00/hour. Eligible for Mid‑Level Benefits including medical plans, paid holidays, and vacation/sick leave.
Location: 100% on site in La Jolla at UC San Diego's main campus.
Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM.
DESCRIPTION- Storekeeper will assist with data entry of part numbers, stock and receipts into Maximo inventory system.
- Responsible for (monthly or quarterly) inventory count of all satellite shops on campus, records and delivers reports for data entry.
- Assists with Year End parts count and reporting. Helps develop and maintain organization of satellite shops.
- Maintains and distributes stock.
- Assists with pick up of excess equipment and supplies from departments, identifies, tags and logs equipment.
- Assists in the movement of items and processes related documentation. Arranges to pick up deliveries from vendors as needed.
- Assists with research of parts requested by satellite shops; files purchasing and operational paperwork.
- Ensures that outgoing Marketplace orders are scanned before being loaded up for delivery.
- Ability to lift 20-50 lbs.
- Ability to drive a large pick‑up or delivery box truck.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to stay organized with shifting deadlines and priorities.
- Basic computer skills.
- Universal background Check, References, and DMV checks and clearances are required prior to hiring.
- Required to hold valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
- Must be able to start working immediately after employment offer.
- Must be willing to work 40 hours/week.
This position has been identified as a Mandated Reporter pursuant to the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA) and Requires immediate reporting of physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, or neglect of anyone under the age of 18. It is the responsibility of the Mandated Reporter to ensure that they obtain proper training in order to fulfill their reporting responsibilities as Required by the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and University policy, and to complete and submit the Required reports to the UC San Diego Police Department without delay.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $43,952 - $57,963 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%).
Hourly Equivalent: $21.05 - $27.76.
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
