What You’ll Bring
  • Significant Experience (5+ years):
    Proven experience leading complex real estate development or construction projects.
  • Large‑Scale Multi‑Family Expertise
    :
    Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑family housing projects, specifically those with a minimum of 20 or more units per project.
  • Public Sector Fluency
    :
    Direct, hands‑on experience working on affordable housing and/or workforce housing initiatives for a public agency (e.g., city, county, housing authority).
  • Local Market Advantage (A Strong Plus):
    Prior work experience with the City of San Diego or a similar local municipality, providing immediate familiarity with local planning, permitting, and entitlement processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Real Estate, Planning, Construction Management, etc.).

  • Lead Project Lifecycle
    :
    Oversee all phases of assigned real estate developments, including site selection, feasibility studies, financial modeling, design, and construction oversight.
  • Navigate Complex Financing
    :
    Manage funding stacks that utilize public subsidies, bonds, or LIHTC programs to deliver financially viable affordable and workforce housing.
  • Agency & Stakeholder Management
    :
    Act as the primary interface with development partners, consultants, community groups, and local governmental bodies.
  • Ensure Compliance
    :
    Guarantee project adherence to all regulatory requirements, public contracting laws, and agency standards.
  • Strategic Reporting
    :
    Present clear, concise project updates and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
