Project Manager General Summary
The Staff Project Manager, M&A Integration, is a senior-level leader within the Integration Management Office (IMO) responsible for planning, executing, and managing complex cross-functional integration programs resulting from mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic investments. This role ensures acquired companies are smoothly and successfully integrated into the enterprise while protecting business continuity and maximizing deal value.
You will partner with executive sponsors, functional leaders, working groups, and target-company teams to drive alignment, establish governance, mitigate risks, and deliver measurable integration outcomes. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and program management skills, with the ability to operate at both the strategic and execution levels.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of project management or related work experience.
- Associate's degree and 9+ years of project management or related work experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 11+ years of project management or related work experience.
- Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
- Lead end-to-end integration planning and execution across multiple work streams.
- Translate deal rationale and synergy targets into an actionable integration strategy.
- Align scope, priorities, and KPIs with Corporate Development and executive sponsors.
- Define operating models for Day 1 and post-close integration phases.
- Establish and manage integration governance structures.
- Drive cross-functional milestone execution.
- Develop program plans, playbooks, and dashboards.
- Identify risks and facilitate issue resolution.
- Partner with Communications, HR, and IT on change strategies.
- Serve as primary contact for leadership of acquired companies.
- Lead workshops, readiness sessions, and integration meetings.
- Support synergy tracking and budget oversight.
- Assist Finance with forecasting integration costs.
- Evolve IMO best practices and frameworks.
- Modernize IMO tooling using industry best practices, including AI.
- Mentor junior PMs and workstream leads.
- Drive adoption of post-mortem learnings into playbooks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 8–12+ years of M&A integration based program/project management or consulting experience.
- Proven track record leading large transformation programs or M&A integrations.
- Exceptional communication and executive‑level presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving capabilities.
- Strong understanding of HR, IT, Finance, Legal, and Go-to‑Market functions.
- Ability to succeed in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
- Experience in technology, semiconductors, or global matrixed organizations.
- Big 5 consulting or Fortune 100 M&A experience.
- Pre‑close planning and Day 1 readiness experience.
- Experience with M&A lifecycle and integration platforms.
