Production Technician - 1st shift

Overview

Production Technician - 1st shift 6 AM - 2:30 PM at Millennium Soft Inc, San Diego, CA. Duration: 5 Months contract. Total Hours/week: 40. 1st shift 6 AM - 2:30 PM, with weekend potential.

Note:

Ensure candidate has some experience in bio / chem / pharma / biotech lab. Must wear long pants and closed toed shoes.

• This position is responsible for the manufacture of materials used for medical diagnostic test devices.
• The candidate will be responsible for operation and maintenance of reel-to-reel web handling platforms, which are used to treat various membranes with antibody solutions. These membranes are later processed to create lateral flow devices.
• The candidate must possess basic computer and analytical skills.
• He/she must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly diverse, team oriented, work environment.

• Learn and understand:
  Basic reel-to-reel processes, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms, etc.
• Execute processes according to written SOPs, record process data in batch record.
• Loading and unloading of treated and untreated membrane reels.
• Handling of antibody solutions.
• Machine setup and configuration.
• Monitoring on-going production runs.
• Initial troubleshooting of production issues.
• Meet daily/weekly departmental production objectives efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to follow general instructions on routine tasks and detailed instructions on new tasks.
• Support LDMS and daily shift start up meetings.
• Ability to lift 20-30 pounds unassisted.
• Follow all department guidelines and procedures.
• Follows client Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
• Takes responsibility for safety in immediate work area. Participates in EH&S programs. Notifies supervisors of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices.
• May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment.
• Other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate for position within production.

• Associate degree and/or relevant technical training
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
• Fundamental computer skills
• Perform basic math calculations
• 1 year relevant experience required
• Stable employment and/or education within the last 3-5 years.
• Some laboratory and/or pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing experience preferred.
