The Assembler will prepare and perform routine electronic and mechanical assembly operations at the unit and module assembly level using blueprints, work instructions, diagrams, and written processes. The Assembler will assemble and inspect components, parts, subassemblies, and assemblies, and performs rework from test failures in accordance with standard repair procedures. Occasional deviations from accepted practice are expected.

1st shift:
Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Overtime:
Ability to work overtime Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed or occasionally.

• Observe all safety regulations, including personal protective equipment.
• Assemble components to a final configured product using process instructions, engineering documentation, specialized tooling, measuring equipment, and hand tools.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, parts lists, operation sheets, and visual aids; make recommendations for changes to improve build processes.
• Perform rework from test failures in accordance with standard repair procedures and incorporate ECN's into completed boards.
• Prep and insert electronic components onto circuit boards, hand solder components, and rework circuit boards.
• Verify quality of product at required intervals and verify accuracy of all work.
• Provide training and support to lower‑level assemblers as required.
• Operate material handling equipment and read and interpret engineering documentation, layout, and process worksheets.
• Meet established standards for productivity and quality.
• Follow the lead’s instructions on building units.

• Minimum 3–5 years of related experience; assembler levels 1–5 vary based on experience and scope of responsibility.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good to excellent assembly blueprint reading skills.
• Proficiency with hand tools (torque wrench, drills, and inspection tools).
• Ability to read various measuring devices including rulers, tape measures, and scales.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Legal right to work in the U.S. and authorized to access export‑controlled information and source code.

• IPC‑610 and J‑STD‑001 certification.
• Efficient MS Word and Excel user.

• Work environment: production environment.

The physical demands include standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to lift 25 pounds.

This role is based in San Diego, California. San Diego offers a coastal climate, numerous cultural attractions, and a vibrant outdoors scene.

Annual pay range: $20.00 – $25.00. Actual salaries vary based on experience, performance, and market factors.
