Material Handler

Material Handlers move recyclable material through the facility, conduct material grading, and evaluate for sale destination.

• Move material through the facility using equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, handcarts, hoists, cranes.
• Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Use PC tablets to dispense and receive information such as part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc.
• Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Properly document work performed.
• Conduct material audits.

• Requires motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.
• Requires exerting physical effort in handling objects more than 50 pounds frequently.
• Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Normal setting includes outdoors and/or driving a video/GPS monitored vehicle.
• Exposed to physical environment involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.
• Level of physical effort may vary from site to site.

The expected base pay for this on-site position is $19.65 per hour. Salary may vary based on experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
