Machine Operator

Summary

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Includes precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, lay out and machining procedures.

• Understanding of blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• Use precision measuring device such as caliper, height gauges, gauge pins, micrometer and thread gauges etc.
• Machine maintenance oil/coolant/ grease/hydraulic level
• Stock/material preparation
• Saw raw materials Horizontal/Vertical automatic saw
• Cleaning Chips from machines and floor, put tools away and organizing tool crib
• Operate and run 3 and 4 Axis vertical machine center, loading, and securing raw stock
• Assist Machinist with getting fixturing and tools ready for the next job
• Deburring, Sanding, and cleaning

• 1-2 years of experience as a machinist in a machine shop environment

• High School diploma or equivalent

The annualized base salary range for this role is $35,360 to $47,840. Annualized values for non-exempt (hourly) positions are estimates, final annualized salary will depend on total hours worked. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
