Bio Legend is seeking a Value Stream Planner II to coordinate and expedite production according to demand and quality standards. This position ensures products are produced on time for distribution. Applicants should be well‑versed in production procedures, well organized, results‑driven, and possess strong problem‑solving, communication, and computer skills.

Essential Functions
  • Create production orders in the ERP system.
  • Follow up on production orders to ensure on‑time delivery.
  • Prioritize and expedite production orders.
  • Monitor material sell‑by and expiration dates.
  • Schedule product replenishments to meet the master production schedule.
  • Perform strategic inventory calculations to optimize capacity and inventory levels.
  • Manage assigned lab(s) production schedule, demand, capacity, and material availability.
  • Monitor inventory levels in ERP to ensure stocks are adequate.
  • Respond to ERP reorder messages or MRP suggestions.
  • Request material transfers when available.
  • Communicate timely responses to company departments regarding emails, ETA requests, scheduling, and work order information.
  • Recommend material disposition based on sell‑by/expiration dates.
  • Coordinate production schedules with production departments.
  • Release work orders based on demand, material availability, and work center capacity.
  • Collaborate with Production, QC, Customer Service, and Procurement groups.
  • Optimize material stocking and reduce obsolescence or scrap.
  • Determine MRP system settings to support inventory targets.
  • Propose alternate activities to resolve backorders.
  • Analyze, update, and maintain complex spreadsheets; generate reports and metrics.
  • Create and maintain documentation (SOPs, forms, checklists).
  • Ensure compliance with company and department policies.
  • Create and track KPI metrics for planning and manufacturing analysis.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Manage special projects or responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • BA or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Science, Operations Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of production planning experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • 2 years of experience in an ISO
    13485 environment.
  • Prior production planning experience using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
  • Experience handling multiple product lines with high volume and high SKU mix.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience managing products with expiration dating.
  • Familiarity with ISO or GMP regulatory requirements.
  • Background in life science, biotechnology, or process manufacturing.
  • Understanding of Lean Six Sigma, JIT, and Kanban concepts.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting with occasional laboratory and warehouse exposure. The physical demands include use of hands and fingers, reaching, standing, talking, and hearing. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear.

Compensation

Base salary range for this full‑time position is $71,000 – $85,000 per year. The offered base pay will consider internal equity, work location, and additional factors such as skills, experience, and education.
