Join a precision manufacturer that builds custom cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and box builds for complex electronic and electro-mechanical products. In this role, you'll take assemblies from start to finish and build skills across a wide range of assembly techniques
. It's a contract-to-hire opportunity with a clear path to Production Assembler Lead once you're proficient in every task.
- Solder PC boards, connectors, and wire terminations to IPC workmanship standards, using microscopes for fine detail work.
- Build cable and wire harness assemblies from start to finish, including wire cutting, crimping, stuffing, heat shrink, potting, backshelling, and labeling.
- Use work orders, blueprints, and sample assemblies to complete box builds, kitting, and harness board setups.
- Perform continuity testing and pin extraction to confirm every assembly meets quality requirements.
- Create wire lists and support the Quality Management System (QMS) and continuous improvement projects.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment, plus basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 / IPC-620 standards. Must be able to use soldering irons, long nose pliers, side cutters, and microscopes, read blueprints, tell wire colors apart, and verify measurements accurately.
- Able to sit at a workstation for long periods, occasionally lift up to 25 lbs, and do close-vision, detailed hand work.
Preferred
- J-STD-001 certification
- 1–2 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience
- Contract-to-hire opportunity
