Community Tree Planting - Chollas Creek Watershed
Planting trees in this underserved community will help offset climate change impacts of heat and flooding.
Participants get a moment for coffee and to meet neighbors ready to take action on climate impacts. After registration, volunteers will break up into planting teams, see a tree planting demonstration, and then head out to assigned homes for tree planting.
Planting teams will dig the hole, plant the tree, spread the mulch, and water the tree. Then, they'llhead to the next location. Volunteers will leave their planting tools at their assigned home and return to the meeting area, where they'll grab an ice cream to celebrate their tree planting success!
