ASCENDtials Yacht Club Retreat Support Crew Volunteer
ASCENDtials is a non‑profit organization dedicated to empowering the BIPOC community through workshops, experiential learning programs, healing sessions, and environmental advocacy. As a member of the Retreat Support Crew, you will help create a grounded, welcoming experience for participants in our monthly, one‑day retreats that blend astronomy, ecology, cultural storytelling, wellness rituals, and community service.
What You’ll Do- Assist with retreat setup (Majlis seating, ritual stations, wellness tables)
- Support acupressure, breathwork, or cultural storytelling sessions (training provided)
- Guide participants through itineraries and reflection activities
- Help with food service, artisan vendors, and youth programming
- Maintain a calm, safe, family‑friendly environment
- Track hours through our volunteer portal (donation or waiver accepted)
- Grounded, creative, and comfortable holding space
- Interested in wellness, ecology, or cultural traditions
- Able to support both logistical and experiential tasks
- Excited to help build a new kind of community retreat model
You’ll help shape a retreat series that uplifts the highly melanated community and fosters ecological literacy. Volunteers receive training, appreciation letters, and opportunities to co‑lead future sessions.
Location & CommitmentLocation:
San Diego, CA (Marinas + Waterfront Parks). Commitment:
Monthly, 4–6 hours per month. Compensation:
Volunteer (donation or waiver accepted).
