Salary Range: $55 Per Hour

Reproductive Partners San Diego is a leading Southern California fertility clinic, internationally and nationally recognized for our success in IVF – in vitro fertilization, egg freezing and other fertility treatments for our patients.

Successful fertility treatment requires a cohesive team of physicians, nurses, embryologists, scientists and staff all working toward a common goal. Reproductive Partners San Diego has six physicians specialized in reproductive medicine who help each other effectively diagnose and treat patients. Many of our physicians and staff members have been together for over twenty years. This legacy of cooperation has produced techniques for developing individual treatment plans which result in a high level of success in even the most difficult cases.

Job Summary

As a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery Center, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients through the in vitro fertilization (IVF) process. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless and compassionate experience for our patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned based on operational needs.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Perform preoperative nursing assessments, including review of medical history, medications, allergies, and vital signs.
  • Educate patients on procedure expectations, pre- and post-operative instructions, and recovery care specific to fertility treatments.
  • Assist anesthesia providers and physicians during oocyte retrievals and other outpatient procedures.
  • Monitor patients intraoperatively and postoperatively, ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia and addressing pain, nausea, or anxiety.
  • Provide compassionate support to patients and their partners undergoing emotionally sensitive fertility treatments.
  • Complete discharge teaching and instructions with patients and caregivers.
Clinical & Operational Support
  • Prepare procedure and recovery rooms with appropriate equipment, medications, and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation.
Compliance & Quality
  • Adhere to infection control, sterile technique, and safety protocols specific to outpatient surgical care.
  • Ensure compliance with QuadA, OSHA, HIPAA, and California state regulations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance reviews related to surgical and fertility care.
  • Promptly report and document adverse events, safety concerns, or equipment malfunctions.

Confidential and Sensitive Information: Ensure the confidentiality of all patient records and care per confidentiality policy and HIPAA regulations.

Attendance/ Punctuality/ Reliability is an essential function of this position to report to work on time for your scheduled hours dependent on operational needs, ready for work; ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrive at meetings and appointments on time.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) from four-year accredited school of nursing
  • Certificates and Licenses: California RN license;
    Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification;
    Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; and California Driver License.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of nursing experience in an outpatient or hospital setting required. Previous experience in fertility, women’s health, or gynecology preferred. Experience with conscious sedation and PACU recovery strongly desired. Opportunities for professional development and growth. A friendly and supportive work environment.
