Position: LVN
Type: Hourly, Full‑Time, Non‑Exempt
Compensation: $37–$38 per hour
Shift: Thursday–Monday (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm)

AKUA is seeking a LVN that is a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of CA. New graduates welcome to apply. Must have passed NCLEX. Mental Health, Detox/residential drug and alcohol treatment experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities- The LVN works under the supervision of the Clinical Director.
- Maintains professional standards and follows the treatment policies of the organization, The Joint Commission and Federal/State Laws and Regulations.
- Manages all medication as ordered by the Medical Director, Program Physician, and maintains accurate accounting of all medication received (from supplier) and observed (to the patient).
- Ensures safekeeping of all medication stock and the records required by the DEA, FDA, JCAHO and ADP.
- Trains all clinical staff about medications, observation of medications, and medication destruction.
- Conducts all detox assessments including CIWA, COWS, vitals, etc.
- Completes all medical documentation in the EMR including all physician notes and medication orders.
- May be responsible for urine collection and processing in conjunction with the clinical technicians, reading test results as ordered by Program Physicians and completing all forms involved in these procedures.
- Coordinates all internal and external medical and lab appointments.
- License/Credentials: LVN/LPN (required)
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification (required)
- Valid CA Driver's License (required)
- Current Health Screen (required)
- TB Clearance (required)
