Summary
CHENEGA TRI-SERVICES, LLC. San Diego, CA. The Nurse Practitioner will perform medical histories, physical examinations, and review required medical tests and documentation for Armed Forces applicants.
Responsibilities- Perform medical histories, physical examinations, and review required medical tests and documentation for Armed Forces applicants.
- Secure comprehensive health histories and record findings.
- Arrange medical consultations for orthopedics, psychiatry, ENT, dermatology, internal medicine, and dental as needed.
- Accomplish the specified quantity and quality of work within the allotted schedule and hours.
- Conduct records and consult reviews and result reviews.
- Abide by DoD, USMEPCOM, and other applicable regulations and policies.
- Apply accession medical standards to assess applicant eligibility for military service.
- Provide respect for applicant dignity.
- Ensure compliance with IAW, Privacy Act, and HIPAA.
- Participate in MEPS local medical peer reviews.
- Follow the “Red Carpet Treatment” philosophy.
- Comply with all installation policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school (National League of Nursing).
- Master's or Doctoral Degree from an ANPP accredited program (ANPCP) or ANCC.
- Current unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in a U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum two (2) years of post‑graduate direct patient care experience within the past three (3) years.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with every two‑year recertification.
- Proficiency in accessing and updating electronic medical records and responding to e‑mail communications.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Effective time‑management and sound decision‑making.
- Initiative, interpersonal relationship skills, and social sensitivity.
- Completion of Genesis training for medical documentation.
- Experience in collecting, organizing, recording, and communicating health histories and administering mental health screening questionnaires.
- Knowledge of diagnostic procedures across obstetrics/gynecology, ENT, pediatrics, orthopedics, internal medicine, and mental health.
- Regular sitting and conversation; use of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers for repeated motions.
- Occasional walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Occasional lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
- Close vision required.
Up to USD $61.51 per hour.
