Registered Nurse – Oncology

La Jolla, CA

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

• Provide direct patient care in an oncology setting, administering chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments in accordance with established protocols
• Monitor and assess patient responses to oncologic therapies, escalating concerns appropriately
• Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health record system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Complete assigned facility learning modules by required deadlines
• Float to other units or campus locations at or below skillset as needed based on patient census and staffing requirements

• Active California RN License in hand at time of submission (Temp or Perm; no EMSA)
• BLS certification required (must be AHA)
• ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of concurrent experience in oncology specialty
• Travel nursing experience required
• EPIC experience, or combined EPIC/Cerner experience, within the last 6 months of work history
• 1 supervisory-level professional reference required at time of submission
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates who have been on assignment in the San Diego area for the last 9 or more months are considered local and are not eligible

• Experience working within a large health system or multi-campus environment
• Familiarity with oncology-specific patient populations and complex care coordination
• Flexibility with scheduling and availability for same-day or short-notice interviews

• Opportunity to work in a specialized oncology environment alongside experienced clinical teams in a sought-after Southern California location
• Expected schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week providing a consistent and structured work pattern
