Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

La Jolla, CA | Intermediate Care / Step-Down Unit

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care / Step-Down setting
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week cycle and at least one holiday, including the holiday weekend
• May be required to float to like units or lower-acuity units across up to 5 hospital campuses as needed (excluding the ED)
• Complete assigned non-billable compliance modules by the required deadlines
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC electronic health records

• Active California RN License in hand at time of submission (Temporary or Permanent; no EMSA)
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of concurrent experience in IMC/PCU/Step-Down specialty
• Travel nursing experience required
• EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months of work history required
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates who have been on assignment in the San Diego area for 9 or more months are considered local and are not eligible

• Experience floating across multiple hospital campuses or health system environments
• Familiarity with Tier 2 travel compliance requirements
• Availability for same-day or next-business-day interview scheduling
