Sp Unit Staff RN - Hospital - Transitional Care Unit - DOU - Zion

The Sp Unit Staff RN provides professional nursing care in the Transitional Care Unit, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care. This role is ideal for those who are flexible and committed to delivering quality patient care.

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
• Serve as a leader of the health care team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as necessary.
• Ensure effective documentation of nursing processes and interventions.
• Discuss patient findings and progress with physicians and the health care team.
• Practice customer service standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Organize work to minimize the use of overtime.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.

• Registered Nurse License (California)

• 1-year recent full-time equivalent experience in a Critical Care, DOU, or SDU setting, or successful completion of a KP Critical Care, DOU, or SDU course.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Basic Arrhythmia course required
