Job Description

Bike & Kayak Tours, Inc. is hiring Beach Crew for La Jolla Shores. This seasonal role is fast‑paced and physically demanding, involving assisting kayak clients, launching equipment, and maintaining the beach area.

• Assist kayak clients with launching and retrieving kayaks in and out of the surf.
• Review water maps and provide customer guidance.
• Load and unload kayaks and equipment onto trucks and deliver them to the beach.
• Follow boat launch regulations and instructions from lifeguard ambassadors.
• Deliver basic customer service and address FAQs on the beach.
• Drive company trucks safely and legally; a valid California driver’s license is required.
• Perform basic equipment repairs and cleaning (e.g., wetsuits, snorkel gear).
• Maintain beach and shop cleanliness; perform opening/closing duties.

• U.S. citizenship required; lawful presence in the United States required.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
• Physical ability to work on the beach for most of the shift.
• Strong customer‑service orientation; ability to communicate clearly with guests.
• Ability to lift and move equipment (e.g., kayaks, paddles).
