Research Scientist, Clinical Research
The Scientist I role requires general knowledge of Biology, Immunology, Flow Cytometry or other related discipline, as well as familiarity with routine laboratory instruments. Effective oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving skills are also necessary. The ability to follow established policies and procedures, interpret and present data, and maintain accurate laboratory records are essential.
Responsibilities include assisting in the development and evaluation of new reagents and enhancements to existing reagents. This involves executing experiments independently, evaluating and discussing data, and presenting material of simple to moderate complexity. The Scientist I will also prepare protocols and other documents, plan and perform reagent development activities, and work with human and laboratory animal tissues.
- Performs experiments to evaluate new reagents using a flow cytometer.
- Prepares protocols, reports, and summaries.
- Tabulates and analyzes experimental data.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a biological science discipline.
- Minimum 0-2 years of relevant experience.
Alternatively, a College degree or HS Diploma with over 5 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience may be considered. Previous experience with Flow Cytometry and related software is a plus.
