. This position supports in‑vivo experimentation, wet laboratory procedures, and daily laboratory operations within a dynamic biomedical research environment.
- Assist with in‑vivo research tasks such as routine dosing (SC/IP), animal monitoring, sample collection, and mouse colony maintenance (breeding and genotyping) under close supervision.
- Support wet lab procedures by preparing materials and following protocols for cell culture, PCR/qPCR, Western Blotting, ELISA, and IHC; maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Help gather and organize research data, including recording observations, preliminary data analysis, and preparing simple summaries or reports.
- Contribute to routine laboratory operations: ordering supplies, preparing protocol and compliance documents, maintaining EH&S standards, and collaborating with staff to keep workflows running smoothly.
- One year of experience related to working directly with laboratory animals (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
- Excellent data presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work various schedules and hours including weekends and holidays when necessary.
- Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office, R, and Image
J/Fiji is a plus.

Step placement will be determined based on relevant qualifications and professional experience, in alignment with the department’s budget and equity guidelines.
- Initial step placement is not expected to exceed Step 1 ($4,595/month).
- CSU salary range: $4,595–$6,694 per month.
