Research Scientist-PHD
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES- Good hands‑on experience with crystallization, filtration and chromatography‑based processing methods along with small molecule analytical methods.
- Work closely with Cali 's scientists on development of lab‑scale synthetic, analytical and formulation projects.
- Works cross‑functionally to deliver high quality compounds in support of Cali 's preclinical drug discovery programs.
- Prepare technical reports, patent application content, publications and oral presentations as necessary.
- PhD in chemistry, medicinal chemistry, synthetic chemistry, bio‑organic chemistry or related field with experience in pharmaceutical/drug discovery industry.
- Proven track record of successfully overseeing structure‑activity development.
- In‑depth knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry and pharmacokinetics. Familiarity with common isolation methods including crystallization (batch and continuous mode), filtration and drying.
- Hands‑on experience including but not limited to the following analytical methods: RP‑HPLC, UV‑Vis; HR‑MS, LCMS‑QTOF, XRD and other analytical methods is required.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment and able to adjust based on changing priorities.
- Highly motivated, creative, and devoted to project goals.
The expected hiring range for this position is $78,000-$103,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.
