See guests from start to finish through a five star dining experience including all knowledge and service of food, wine and spirits.
- Ensure all mis en place are setup and ready for service according to Addison SOP. Assist service colleagues in completing pre-shift mis en place including polishing all silverware, stemware, and additional side duties as outlined in the pre-shift duties list.
- Deliver a flawless dining experience, consistently providing exceptional food, superlative service, elegant decor and exquisite presentations.
- It is the Backwaiter's position to assist the Captain in upholding these standards and see them through time after time. The back server is the second level in guest contact should the Captain be unavailable.
- Assist service colleagues in breakdown and clean-up of service areas, i.e. all linens prepared for pick-up and delivery to laundry, all ice buckets placed in appropriate places, tables reset for entire dining room.
- Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position. Irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Backwaiter's are expected to be full-time employees who may work up to 40+ hours per week on an average.
- Industry level standard knowledge of Food and Beverage, including all aspects of service and food preparation is a prerequisite for employment as a back server kwaiter's should have a base knowledge of French cooking techniques as well as a moderate understanding of spirits and wine and should be able to understand and follow the by the glass selections should their services in selection be required.
- Other tasks as assigned by leadership.
