Operator (Customer) Sales Representative – San Diego, CA

We are hiring an early‑career Operator (Customer) Sales Representative who will drive incremental volume growth and sustain existing volume in food service accounts in the San Diego area. The role reports to the Zone Sales Manager.

• Maximize commercial and non‑commercial sales for approximately 60+ accounts in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager and Territory Sales Representatives to coordinate sales activities at the account level.
• Develop operator business plans in conjunction with market plans.
• Support and execute product presentations and demonstrations in commercial food service kitchens.
• Attend sales meetings, training sessions, food shows, and industry events to network with prospective accounts.
• Record accurate operator sales activity via centralized reporting system, Salesforce.
• Follow a sales process that includes gathering information, uncovering needs, presenting features and benefits, providing solutions, and closing sale with focus on assigned operators.
• Meet with customers in the assigned territory at least four days per week.
• Support distributor and operator events in the surrounding area.
• Occasional overnight travel up to 10% in the assigned market area.

• Bachelor’s degree or Culinary Arts degree and 1 year of experience (including internships) in the food service industry.

• Food service sales experience.
• Previous experience conducting sales calls in commercial kitchens and preparing food as part of the sales process.
• Existing relationships in food service sales with distributors and/or operators.

The base salary range for this position is $47,250 – $78,750 annually with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus based on organizational performance.
