Associate Protein Chemist

Overview

Eurofins PSS in San Diego is looking to expand its capabilities in protein generation and analytical characterizations within the Protein Biosciences group. The role will assist in protein and other discovery reagents expression and purification, analytical assays of purified proteins, and other related lab tasks to support reagent generation.

• Assist proteins and discovery reagents expression in
  
  E. coli and purification using various column separation techniques
• Proficient in routine antibody purification using established platform process
• Independently conduct purified reagent analysis using HPLC and other related analytical assay methods
• Assist in general lab tasks such as sample preparation, data collection and data analysis
• Appropriate documentation of all experimental results, and the sharing and presentation of obtained results
• Maintain high detail orientation, eagerness to learn new techniques, and high precision in daily lab operations

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a similar discipline
• Experience in
  
  E. coli culture, protein purification and analytical characterizations
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

• Compensation Range: $52,000 - $55,000/yr

• Position is full-time, 8am - 5pm with occasional overtime required
